Lacrosse Magazine's "Best of Lacrosse 2012" series recognizes the players, coaches, teams and moments that shined above all others in our sport this year. We want to know what you think. Fans can vote for their favorites in 10 categories. The results of each poll will be published alongside staff selections in the December issue of Lacrosse Magazine. Voting ends Monday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. Eastern.

Nominees for Best Men's Player
Peter Baum, Colgate
Baum, the first men's Tewaaraton finalist and winner from west of the Mississippi,
was the NCAA statistical leader in points per game (5.39) and goals
per game (3.72). The junior attackman led Colgate to 14 wins and a
quarterfinal finish, both of which were program bests.
John Grant Jr., Mammoth/Bayhawks/Lakers
Grant was a triple threat in 2012 – the NLL named him the
league's Most Valuable Player, and he won both an MLL championship
with the Chesapeake Bayhawks and the Mann Cup with Peterborough
Lakers. With the Mammoth, Grant hit several NLL milestones –
1,000 career points, 500 career goals and 1,000 ground balls and
set the NLL single-season scoring
record. At 37, he set a career record for assists (66)
as well.
Brendan Mundorf, Outlaws
The seven-year MLL veteran attackman won his first league MVP honors in
2012, when he scored 32 goals and dished out 27
assists for Denver. Mundorf led the Outlaws to a franchise-record
11 wins and the top seed in the MLL playoffs.
Paul Rabil, Cannons
For the third time in four years, the midfielder won MLL Offensive Player of the Year
honors. He broke his own single-season points record
(72), scoring at least two points in each of the Cannons' 14
games.
Steele Stanwick, Virginia/Machine
The attackman finished his career in
Charlottesville as the Cavaliers' all-time points leader
(269). Despite drawing lots of defensive attention,
Stanwick led the team and the nation with 51 assists in 2012, in
addition to scoring 29 goals. He was the first Cavalier to win the
USILA's Jack Turnbull Award, presented to the nation's top
attacker, since 1996.
