Team USA Blog: Wales, MVF's and Australia Today

The team poses before the Wales game with MVF (Most Valuable Fan) and bus driver Donna.

Previous blog posts: July 13 | July 10

Heading into our second game against Wales, our focus was taking a step forward as a team and raising the bar.  After a typical pre-game meal filed with lots of pasta, grilled chicken and veggies, we were greeted by our favorite bus driver, Donna, decked out in her new USA lax shirt signed by the team (see team photo with Donna in front of the bus).

Not only does she safely transport us from dorm to field, but she also sat in the stands against Wales, enthusiastically waving her American flag and cheering for us.  She is our consensus MVF (Most Valuable Fan).

Wales played with a tremendous amount of heart and national pride that we really respected.  We feel the game was a great waypoint on our quest for the gold.  It gave us the opportunity to tweak offensive and defensive strategy heading into our game today against Australia.
We are ready for the Australians after watching their game versus Canada, and we look forward to getting after it playing with the fight and passion that makes us Team USA.
Stars & Stripes Forever,
Sarah and Holly
