USL at the MCLA's - Sportsmanship The Name of the Game

Members of the teams from Grove City and Western Washington after their contest in the first round this week at the MCLA National Tournament in California.

It's another beautiful day her in SoCal at the MCLA Championships. The competition has been fierce, but through it all, the teams have shown great respect for each other after every game.

The coaches and players are embracing the US Lacrosse Sportsmanship campaign. Each team has taken a moment after its games to take a picture with their opponent to jointly demonstrate their commitment to sportsmanship and game integrity. All teams are wearing helmet decals to remind them of that commitment.

US Lacrosse, the MCLA, and MLL have all taken the pledge to "Compete with Class and Honor the Game". Stay tuned this summer for how your team and league can join this campaign, but in the meantime take the pledge at: http://www.uslacrosse.org/rules/compete-with-class-honor-the-game/compete-with-class-pledge.aspx

More to come from Day 2 here at MCLA Championships at the University of California-Irvine.
