Project 9.9 - Lacrosse 'Finishing School' In Action
A while back, we blogged about the teaser trailer and upcoming webisodes featuring Paul Rabil and Mark Millon's 'Project 9.9' - a camp designed to prepare some of the best lacrosse players in the game for the realities of life at the elite level after high school.
The film covers the weekend-long event - where players spend from morning till night working with camp staff on everything from practice drills to proper strength training and nutrition information - and will be released in three webisode segments. The filmmaker (Josh Lane) was brought on board after becoming a 'YouTube phenomenon' in lacrosse, according to Rabil.
"It's really built off the key experiences we had as players," says Rabil, the reigning MVP of the FIL World Championships who was recently named to the 30-man roster for the 2014 tournament after January's Champion Challenge. "Think of it as 'finishing school' for high school. We try to take good players and turn them into great ones."
