Having often traveled through the ground transportation area of Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) airport for lacrosse and personal-related travel, the sight of the Navy men's lacrosse team lining up to salute World War II veterans – as they did Sunday – would have brightened my experience had I seen it in person.

According to a post on Navy Athletics' Facebook page that went viral on Sunday, the members of the Navy team, while traveling back from a scrimmage at Notre Dame, "encountered 67 World War II veterans. After having the opportunity to shake their hand and thank them for their service, the team lined up and saluted them as their buses passed by. It put the entire trip in perspective."
