Early Look: Boston Cannons' Championship Ring

The Boston Cannons won their first Major League Lacrosse championship in August in their 11th year as a franchise. Now the organization is being rewarded for it.

The above is an early look at the championship ring that players and staff will receive. The image was sent around to Cannons' players recently, and passed along to us by USL Men's Game Director and former Cannons player Brian Silcott.

This example is a mock up for former Boston coach Bill Daye, who stepped down as coach about five weeks after the Aug. 28 championship game. You see his name on the band, so to speak, of the ring along with initials "HC," for head coach. Presumably, this spot will be where players' jersey numbers are located. No word yet on when the rings will be handed out.
