Detroit Mercy's First-Ever Road Win Ends Siena's Home Streak

from press release

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Six Titans scored a pair of goals and the nation's second longest home winning streak came to an end as the Titans downed Siena, 13-11, on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Matt Gregson, sophomore Chris Nemes and freshmen Shayne Adams, Matt Lining, Alex Maini and Troy Dennis each netted two goals. Sophomore Jordan Houtby added the other.

Sophomore A.J. Levell tallied 16 saves and Detroit outworked the Saints with a 55-29 advantage on ground balls.

Siena (7-3, 1-1 MAAC) had won 13-straight games at home and 20-straight conference games – including 10-straight in Loudonville – before the Titans (3-8, 2-1 MAAC) came in and ended that.

The triumph also marked Detroit's first road victory as UDM had dropped its first 23 away from the Motor City.
