A wide array of teams are represented in Lacrosse Magazine's preseason listing of "Best Bets" for the 2014 NCAA Division I men's lacrosse All-American selections. Of 12 players selected, only two — Duke's Jordan Wolf (attack) and Brendan Fowler (faceoff) — are from the same collegiate roster.

Five of LM's selections were USILA first-team All-Americans a year ago, including Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Player of the Year Lyle Thompson (Albany). Princeton midfielder Tom Schreiber, Loyola defenseman Joe Fletcher, Penn State goalie Austin Kaut and Fowler also return as first-team selections this season.

Nine of the 11 players are seniors and seven were taken in the first round of January's Major League Lacrosse collegiate draft, including Schreiber first overall to the Ohio Machine. In addition, Fowler was the first faceoff man taken and Kaut the first goalie.

Thompson and North Carolina midfielder Chad Tutton are the only juniors on the list. Fletcher is the only collegian still in the running to make the final 23-player Team USA roster for the 2014 Federation of International (FIL) World Championship this July.
