The annual early-season tilt between the Greyhounds and northern neighbor Towson is upon the fans in Baltimore, who are treated to a slightly less than the frosty weather that they've been experiencing of late - temperatures at game time are looking to be in the low 50s.
This game will be the 56th in the history of the series between the neighboring schools, the most that Loyola has played any opponent in its history. In recent years, the Greyhounds have dominated the tilt - Loyola has won six straight contests in the series, dating back to the 2008 season and including a 14-9 win a year ago.
Both teams are 1-1 on the season, with Loyola getting into the win column with an OT win over Penn State on Saturday after opening with an OT loss to Virginia. Towson dropped its first game last weekend to Johns Hopkins after opening with a win over High Point.
