Gettysburg-Salisbury on Both ABC-2, ESPN3
from press release
BALTIMORE – Fans unable to attend Saturday's men's lacrosse showdown at Salisbury University will have several ways to follow the action.
The game will be televised regionally by WMAR-TV/ABC-2 out of Baltimore, with Scott Garceau calling the action and Mark Dixon providing color commentary. Streaming video of the contest will also be available online at ESPN3 while live stats can be accessed at http://livestats.prestosports.com/salisbury/.
Gettysburg, ranked No. 12 in the most recent United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III poll, is off to a 2-1 start while third-ranked Salisbury, last year's Division III runner-up, is 4-0.
The game will feature the top-two winningest coaches in NCAA men's lacrosse history (all divisions). Salisbury's Jim Berkman has won 371 career games while Gettysburg's Hank Janczyk has notched 347 victories.
The Gettysburg-Salisbury series, perennially one of the top match-ups in Division III men's lacrosse, has featured down-to-the-wire finishes in each of the last three meetings, with each game ending in an 11-10 final. Last season in Gettysburg, the Bullets rallied from two goals down in the final 4:29 to force overtime, but Salisbury won it with 15.9 seconds left in the extra session. Two years ago, Gettysburg ended the Sea Gulls' 55-game winning streak with a win at Salisbury, while the Gulls topped the Bullets in double-overtime in the 2008 NCAA semifinals in Salisbury.
Saturday's game will mark the first meeting since 2002 in which one of the teams was not ranked No. 1.
