No. 17 Fisher Overcomes Deficit, Oneonta

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Seventeenth-ranked St. John Fisher College outscored host SUNY Oneonta 10-1 over the game's final 36 minutes and battled back to beat the Red Dragons 11-6 on Saturday in a non-conference men's lacrosse matchup.
With the win, Fisher improves to 6-0 on the year.
Oneonta led 3-1 after the first quarter and pushed its margin to 5-1 midway through the second before Fisher began to rally.
Mike Byrnes scored a man-up goal with 6:17 left in the half off a pass from Michael Utz, and 59 seconds later Ryan Schmidt made it 5-3.
The Cardinals pulled to within a goal at 5-4 early in third quarter on another goal by Schmidt, the first of five goals in the third quarter.
Mitch Ritchie tied the game up at 5-5 with just over 10 minutes left in the third and Utz gave Fisher the lead for good with his first career goal with 9:09 remaining in the quarter.
Fisher's Erich Rassow led the Cardinals' comeback. The senior dominated the X, winning 19-of-20 faceoffs on the day and finished with eight ground balls.
Ritchie led Fisher with three goals and one assist, while Connor Henderson totaled three points on two goals and one assist. Utz also enjoyed a three-point day with a goal and two assists.
Kyle Denhoff and Schmidt each scored twice, while Byrnes picked up two points on a goal and an assist.
Jeff Wester and Mike Cummins each assisted on goals.
Matt McShea stopped 10 shots to earn the win in net.
Fisher will return to action at 4 p.m. on Monday and will host SUNY Geneseo. The Knights are ranked 18th in the latest national poll.
