No. 2 Salisbury Picks Up Tenth Win

FREDERICK, Md. – The second-ranked Salisbury University men's lacrosse team picked up a 25-1 Capital Athletic Conference victory over host Hood College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Sea Gulls (10-0, 3-0 CAC) notched the game's first three goals early to take a lead that they would not relinquish. The only goal of the game for the Blazers (4-5, 1-3 CAC) came from Corey Roberts in the first quarter.
Junior attackman Tony Mendes put up six points for the second consecutive game, which matched his career high. The Chapel Hill, N.C., native scored four goals and handed out two assists. Fellow classmate Erik Krum also recorded four goals. Senior midfielder Shawn Zordani matched his career high with three goals in the victory.
A quartet of Sea Gulls tallied a pair of goals in the contest, including juniors Sam Bradman and Kyle Quist, plus freshmen John Brewer and Mike LaPaglia.
All three healthy SU goalkeepers saw action in between the pipes, with senior Johnny Rodriguez earning the victory with two saves.
The Blazers trotted out three goalkeepers in the contest; William Lane played 30 minutes and finished with four saves.
The Sea Gulls will continue CAC play on the road at St. Mary's (Md.) College this Saturday. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
