The win gives Bowdoin its best start since the 2009 campaign, when the squad began the year 7-1. The Polar Bears will face their toughest task of the young season this weekend as they open their home slate with matches in consecutive days against Middlebury and Williams this Saturday and Sunday.

The contests are scheduled to be played on the Pickard grass field at 1 p.m. each day.

More details and complete statistics from Tuesday's game will be posted on the Bowdoin website on Wednesday.
