Connecticut College Adds Els to Coaching Staff

from press release

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Connecticut College Head Men's Lacrosse Coach David Cornell has added William Els to his coaching staff for the upcoming 2012 season.

Els, a four year starter at Hofstra University and a former high school All-American at St. Anthony's High School on Long Island, will be working with the Camel goaltenders.

Most recently, Els served as the head coach at Lee High School in Lee, Mass. He also served as the director of lacrosse at Greylock Sports Camp in Becket, Mass.

"I am pleased to welcome Bill to our program," Cornell said enthusiastically. "Bill brings tremendous experience both on and off the field between lacrosse and his 20 plus years of civil service as a dedicated firefighter in New York City. I know this experience will allow him to teach great life lessons to our student athletes."

The Camels will open their 2012 season Feb. 15 with the first day of official practice in New London, Conn.
