Pyle Scores Five in Princeton Win

PRINCETON, N.J. - Freshman Cassie Pyle scored five goals as No. 7 Princeton defeated Columbia 15-5 in an Ivy League women's lacrosse game at The Class of 1952 stadium on Wednesday night.

Princeton (8-1, 2-0 Ivy) jumped out to a 6-1 halftime lead and Pyle's goal to open the second half stretched the lead to 7-1, but Columbia threatened in the second half. Back-to-back goals by Brittany Shannon pulled the Lions to within 9-5 with 11:38 remaining, but the Tigers then ripped off the final six goals of the game to hand the Lions (5-4, 0-3 Ivy) their fourth straight loss.

Kristin Schwab added three goals for the Tigers while Holly McGarvie and Kristin Morrison added two each. Shannon led the Lions with two goals.
