St. Francis Explodes for 20 Goals against Delaware St.

LORETTO, Pa. – Behind an offensive explosion, the Saint Francis U women's lacrosse team took down Delaware State, 20-2, on Sunday afternoon.
10 different Red Flash (3-4) players recorded a goal in the contest. The Hornets (0-7) posted just three shots in the match.
Lindsay Ingram (Stewartstown, Pa./York Catholic) put SFU on the board quickly as she scored a minute into the game. Katie Schaaf (Ellicott City, Md./Hebron) put a tally on the board just a minute later with an assist coming from Christina Fini (Huntington, N.Y./Smithtown East). SFU jumped out to a 10- 0 lead in the first half, before DSU finally got on the board with six minutes to play. The Flash finished with 12 goals in the first half.
SFU picked up right where they left off in the second half scoring eight more unanswered goals.
Katie Schaaf (Ellicott City, Md./Hebron) led the way for SFU, the freshman finished with two goals and five assists. Olivia Pittman (Annapolis, Md./Saint Mary's) added three goals and two assists. Megan Ross (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas), Christina Fini (Huntington, N.Y./Smithtown East), Lindsay Ingram (Stewartstown, Pa./York Catholic), Victoria O'Brien (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown East) and Rebecca Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) all recorded two goals.
Jordan Porretto (Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) and Lauren Bezmen
(Baldwin, N.Y./Sacred Heart) each added a goal. Savannah Shores
(Trappe, Md./Easton) and Kimberly Peterson (Higganum, Conn./Mercy)
each played a half between the pipes,
Shores earned the win.
Saint Francis opens Northeast Conference play on Friday as they host Central Connecticut State at 3 p.m.
