Drexel Promotes Hannah Rudlof to Head Coach
from Press Release
Philadelphia, Pa. — Drexel Athletics Director Dr. Eric Zillmer has announced that Hannah Rudloff has been named the school's head women's lacrosse coach. Rudloff begins her new duties on August 1.
"Hannah has shown an incredible dedication to the program in her three years at Drexel," said Deputy Athletics Director Nick Gannon, who chaired the search. "She is a true Dragon. Hannah takes pride in representing Drexel and we are excited to see the continued growth of the program under her leadership."
"I am beyond thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead the Drexel Dragons women's lacrosse program," said Rudloff. "Drexel University is an amazing school with an inspiring vision of the future, and I feel so honored to play a role in the school's progress towards its goals. In my three years here at Drexel our program has grown into a consistent contender in the CAA, and I am so excited to continue building this team into a national presence."
Rudloff was Drexel's Interim Head Coach for the last two months. She had been the Dragons assistant coach for the previous three seasons. In each of her three years with the school, the Dragons reached the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament. Those were the first three times that Drexel had earned a CAA Tournament bid.
Before arriving at Drexel, Rudloff was an assistant for one season with Marist College. She served as both and offensive and defensive assistant as the Red Foxes won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament and earned the school's first-ever NCAA berth.
Rudloff played four seasons at the University of Pennsylvania from 2006-2009. Her team won three Ivy League titles and advanced to three NCAA Semifinals, including the 2008 NCAA Championship game. Rudloff graduated Magna Cum Laude with a communications and anthropology double major. She is a native of West Chester, Pa., and attended West Chester East High School.
