No. 3 Limestone Blanks Lees-McRae, 22-0

GAFFNEY, S.C. – Twelve different players collected at least one goal as No. 3 Limestone (1-0, 1-0 CC) demolished Lees-McRae (0-1, 0-1 CC) in an NCAA Division II women's lacrosse game on Friday, February 17 at Saints Field. The game was the season opener for both clubs.
The Saints wasted no time and quickly set the tone for the game as they scored six goals over the first four minutes to take a commanding 6-0 lead by the 26:01 mark of the first half. They would add seven more goals before the break to take a 13-0 advantage into the break.
Largely focused on running their offense in the second half and passing up open opportunities in the process, Limestone attempted only 11 shots but notched nine goals over the final 30 minutes to close out the 22-0 victory.
Not only did the Saints keep Lees-McRae off the scoreboard, they did not allow a single shot over the course of the entire game. They dominated that category 35-0 and won the turnover battle 12-4, forcing 10 in the first half.
Senior attack Racquel Prager (Seaford, N.Y.) scored a game-high four goals and added an assist while senior attack Kelly Lalonde (Henrietta, N.Y.) had a goal and dished out five assists to lead the way for Limestone. They were joined by junior midfielder Brittany Howard (Oswego, N.Y.) with three goals and an assist and sophomore attack Sarah Oor (Uxbridge, Canada) with four assists and a goal.
Junior attack Ali Schumacher (Gainesville, Va.) finished with two goals and posted a game-high four ground balls while sophomore midfielder Maia Czarnecki (Oswego, N.Y.), sophomore midfielder Jessica Aguanno (Delray Beach, Fla.) and senior attack Lindsay Malecki (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) each added two goals and a pair of ground balls.
