No. 15 Bowdoin Handles Keene State

KEENE, N.H. - Katy Dissinger single-handedly
outscored Keene State College in a 15-3 victory for the Bowdoin
College women's lacrosse team on Thursday afternoon. The senior
co-captain scored four goals as the 15th-ranked Polar Bears
improved to 3-1 this spring. Keene State falls to 1-4 with the
Carolyn Gorajek added three goals and an assist for Bowdoin while Katie Stewart, Katie Herter and Chelsea Albright added two goals apiece. Lauren Brown paced the Owls with a pair of scores.
Bowdoin scored the first eight goals of the game in the opening 19:26 and never looked back. The Polar Bears out-shot the Owls 38-13 for the contest. Bowdoin also held an advantage in ground balls (33-24), draw controls (11-9) and had 10 free position shots to KSC's four.
Sophomore goalkeeper Tara Connolly picked up the win by making three saves in the first half. Sophomore Alexandra Brown played the game's final thirty minutes in between the pipes for Bowdoin, allowing just one goal and making four saves. Erin Taylor made a career-high 15 saves for Keene State.
Bowdoin returns to action on Saturday as they will take on NESCAC foe Amherst at noon.
