While Maryland is always at the forefront of the girls' lacrosse discussion at the high school level, it's traditionally the private schools - like Nike/Lacrosse Magazine No. 1 McDonogh - that dominate. But Carroll County's Manchester Valley, at 18-0 and sporting a dominating win over IAAM runner-up and No. 25 Roland Park, enters the rankings this week at No. 24, with fellow MPSSAA schools Century, Marriotts Ridge and Mt. Hebron receiving votes and just outside of the rankings this week.

Manhassett (N.Y.) continues to dog the top spot at 17-0, but given that the Eagles completed another perfect season and hung up their sticks, it is likely that they will sweep to the No. 1 spot when the final votes are tallied after other states play out their championships. Garden City and Wantagh give New York two other Top 5 teams at No. 3 and 5, respectively, while Good Counsel stands at No. 4. Bishop Ireton (Va.) jumps into the Top 10 after handing St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Va.) its first loss of the year.

The Nike/LM Top 25 for boys' and girls' lacrosse are voted on by the staff of Lacrosse Magazine and select high school coaches each week. Follow weekly polls and updates at LaxMagazine.com/HSB25 (boys) and LaxMagazine.com/HSG25 (girls).
