MLL: Outlaws Trade Snider to Nationals

from press release

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws announced today that the team has traded Midfielder Geoff Snider to the Toronto Nationals in exchange for a 3rd round pick in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) 2010 Collegiate Draft. Snider was one of the team's original players, after being picked up in the 1st round of the '06 Collegiate Draft (17th overall) from the University of Denver.

"We want to thank Geoff for his time with the Outlaws," said Outlaws General Manager and head Coach Brian Reese. "He has been a consummate professional and we wish him the best of luck with Toronto. I believe we have a very good face off man in Lou Braun and this trade will allow both players to showcase their talents. We are really happy with our roster going into the 2009 season."

Snider has played in 30 games for the Outlaws, amassing 28 points off of 19 goals and nine assists. The Calgary, Alberta native has served as Denver's primary face-off specialist the past two years and has won 413 of his 829 attempts for a career win percentage of .498.

The Denver Outlaws kick off their season in five days when they take on the Chicago Machine at INVESCO Field on Saturday, May 16 (7:00 p.m.).
