Team USA attackman Brendan Mundorf encountered an Australian team Friday that was but a shadow of the bronze medal team he remembered from 2006. It didn’t help that he was wearing red, white and blue – not green.
Mundorf, one of Australia’s top players in ’06, now
bears that distinction for the U.S. From his cozy spot on the right
wing, he and Denver Outlaws teammate Max Seibald picked the
Australians apart, combining for 10 points as Team USA cruised to a
21-5 victory in the FIL World Championships.
