Mammoth Re-Signs Connor Martin, A.K.A Con Bro Chill
from staff reports
DENVER – The Colorado Mammoth announced Thursday that the team has re-signed forward Connor Martin (a.k.a. Con Bro Chill) to a two-year contract, pending National Lacrosse League approval.
"Connor displayed amazing athletic ability and a desire to learn box lacrosse in his rookie season," said Mammoth President and General Manager Steve Govett. "And, who could ever forget his back-flip? It was one of the highlights of the year."
Martin, who scored his first career NLL goal against the Minnesota Swarm on Feb. 20 at Pepsi Center, proceeded to go head-over-heels, to the delight of the fans. He scored one other goal in his rookie campaign, that coming in the regular-season finale against the Swarm as well.
The 23-year-old Oregon native's alter ego, Con Bro Chill, is a YouTube sensation whose videos collectively have millions of views.
Martin was recently left unprotected by the MLL's Denver Outlaws in the upcoming expansion draft for the Ohio Machine and Charlotte Hounds. Whether he remains with the Outlaws is unclear until the Dec. 7 expansion draft.
Martin and the Colorado Mammoth open the 2012 season against the Minnesota Swarm on "Brian Langtry Night" on Saturday, January 14th at 7pm MST on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center. Season seats are on sale now and start at just $72. Reserve your seats today at ColoradoMammoth.com or by calling 303.405.1101.
