Nadelen Injured; U.S. Men Tweak Roster

ORLANDO, Fla. -- U.S.
men's national team defenseman Shawn Nadelen, a player considered
to be an antidote to Canada's John Grant Jr., tore his anterior
cruciate ligament (ACL) last week in a National Lacrosse League
game for the Philadelphia Wings, forcing Team USA to shuffle its
roster for this weekend's Champion Challenge, a US Lacrosse
event.
Nadelen, who underwent surgery this week, has not yet been ruled
out for July's world championships in Manchester, England. U.S.
team officials will keep tabs on his rehabilitation program.
Nadelen's absence has opened the door for long pole Nick O'Hara, a
member of the previous 40-man U.S. training team, to return to the
team on a trial basis. O'Hara will suit up for Team USA for both
games this weekend, including Sunday against his former team,
Duke.
Team USA long stick midfielder Kyle Sweeney will be unable to play
in Saturday's exhibition against Army due to NLL commitments with
the Philadelphia Wings. Current Duke standout Parker McKee, also a
member of the previous 40-man U.S. squad, has been added to the
roster in his place.
McKee will swap sides Sunday when Sweeney
returns. The senior will play for Duke against the U.S.
