US Lacrosse Announces U.S. Men's Team Roster for Harvard Scrimmage

The U.S. men's national team will feature a player-turned-coach in Kevin Cassese and nine other players that won a gold medal at the 2010 FIL World Championships when it scrimmages Harvard on Sunday as part of the US Lacrosse Stars and Stripes Weekend in Cambridge, Mass.
“I am thrilled to sign on as the coach of the U.S. national team for the Stars and Stripes exhibition event,” Cassese, a three-time Team USA member and the head coach at Lehigh University, told LehighSports.com. “I have a tremendous sense of pride in our national team and in representing the red, white and blue. We have a terrific group of players that were assembled by US Lacrosse, and I look forward to working with them this Sunday.”
Among members of the gold medal-winning U.S. team that will suit up against for Team USA are: goalie Brian Dougherty; midfielders Matt Striebel, Stephen Peyser, Kyle Dixon, Max Seibald and 2010 world championship MVP Paul Rabil; faceoff specialist Alex Smith; and defensemen Ryan McClay and Shawn Nadelen.
The Team USA roster also features three players (Stephen Berger, Chris Eck and Lee Zink) that were on the 40-man training team to prepare for Manchester, as well as a group of recent collegiate standouts, like Max Quinzani and Steven Boyle. All but three of the 21-man roster is currently on a Major League Lacrosse team.
A complete roster appears below. Stars and Stripes will also feature the U.S. women's senior and U-19 training teams against Boston College, Boston University, Revolution and Mass Elite.
Tickets for the exhibition are $10 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 12 and members of US Lacrosse, with free admission for Harvard students with a valid ID. Visit uslacrosse.org or gocrimson.com for more information.
