Midfielders Dani Lazo (Stevensville, Md./St. Mary's '11) and Dene' DiMartino (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor '12) have been added to the U.S. under-19 women's national team as traveling alternates. Lazo and DiMartino will join the active 18 players named earlier this month on their trip to Hannover, Germany, for the 2011 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) U19 World Championship in August.
Team USA head coach Krystin Porcella has also confirmed that midfielder Taylor Trimble (Rosemont, Pa./Episcopal Academy '11), who served as the team's captain at Champion Challenge in January, will assume the same role in Germany.
"Taylor is a leader," Porcella said. "When we were going over our defense, trying to teach them in the short time we had, she was able to get it right away -- not only getting it, but realizing those that didn't and teaching them. She's our captain."
