Who is your favorite athlete?
Mia Hamm. The intensity and passion she played with has always been contagious and inspired me to do my best.
What's one thing you can't live without?
Peanut butter. Obsessed is an understatement. I eat peanut butter before every workout. In fact, when I studied abroad in Greece my mom shipped the large jars to me. What a lifesaver!
What's one thing that always puts you in a good mood?
Running outside is refreshing to me. It helps me focus and clear my mind.
Where did you go on your last vacation?
To the beach. My family (parents, brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles) rent a place in Ocean City, Md., every summer.
What's one thing lacrosse really needs?
What's been the proudest moment of your career?
Making the 2013 World Cup team.
If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Former UCLA basketball coach John Wooden. I read as many of his books as I can. His philosophy and mentality is something I strive to model as a player and a coach. And Sandra Bullock, I think she is hilarious.
What's the most adventurous thing you've ever done?
I climbed to the top of Mount Olympus when I was in Greece. It was such a fulfilling experience.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
I would have to say being on Broadway. I loved chorus, ballet and tap class — until recital time, and then I called it quits. I still love going to musicals, but I know my place is in the audience singing along, quietly.
Who in lacrosse is destined to be a reality TV star?
Amber Falcone, one of my U.S. and former UNC teammates. There's never a dull moment with Amber. Her stories are hilarious and she'll have you laughing for days.
Its 2023 — Where are you and what are you doing?
In 10 years, I'm not really sure! I'll probably be involved in some aspect of lacrosse.
Do you have any pregame rituals?
I always listen to the speech "Inches" by Al Pacino from "Any Given Sunday." It's last on my playlist and gets me in the right zone. I also visualize myself playing.
What's on your lacrosse bucket list?
Help to prepare my U.S. teammates to bring home the gold medal from this summer's World Cup.
Overtime (from Team STX Elite's Clayton Crum):
What's one thing not many people know about you?
A lot of people think my name is Cookie, but it's actually Kristen. Although I am a baking fiend, the nickname Cookie originated when I was 5 years old. My soccer teammates started calling me Tough Little Cookie, and it's been Cookie ever since.
Double Overtime (from Nick Lynch in Rochester, N.Y.):
Who is your favorite superhero?
I don't really have a favorite superhero. I think "The Dark Night Rises" and "Spiderman" are great movies though.
