After sitting out the first two games of the season awaiting a decision by the NCAA, Stevenson senior All-American attackman Richie Ford has received his waiver for a fifth year, Mustangs head coach Paul Cantabene confirmed Friday afternoon.
"He will be in the lineup tomorrow," Cantabene said in an email.
While Ford was expected to be a big part of Stevenson's
impressive attack, which includes fellow senior All-American Jimmy
Dailey, the No. 3-ranked Mustangs have managed to cruise to wins in
the two games Ford has missed.
That includes a comfortable, 11-4 victory over No. 7 Haverford in the season opener.
Ford finished second on Stevenson in points last year with 57 goals and 37 assists, three behind Steve Kazimer. Kazimer was named the USILA Division III Attackman of the Year for the second time in 2010.
