Kerrin Maurer's huge game (seven goals, five assists) in No. 4 St. Anthony's (N.Y.) win over Ridgefield (N.J.) -- plus seven more points against Kellenberg (N.Y.) -- earned her LM Northeast Region player of the Week honors.

Player of the Week

Kerrin Maurer, St. Anthony’s, N.Y.
The senior attacker registered seven goals and five assists for a career-high 12 points to lead the Friars to a 19-11 win over Ridgewood (N.J.), ending Ridgewood’s 38-game win streak that included two state titles.

Northeast Region Top 10

1. Garden City (N.Y.) – 13-0 – Alexandra Bruno had four goals and an assist and Mikaela Rix three goals and two assists as the Trojans pulled away for a 13-6 win over rival Manhasset (N.Y.).

2. Farmingdale (N.Y.) – 9-1 – Kimberly Kolodny had six goals in an 18-7 win over Darien (Conn.) in which the Dalers led 11-4 at the half.

3. West Genesee (N.Y.) – 13-0 – Emily Tripodi had three goals and four assists in a 21-10 win over Carthage (N.Y.).

4. St. Anthony's (N.Y.) – 10-2 – Kerrin Maurer registered three goals and four assists in a 23-8 win at Kellenberg (N.Y.).

5. Northport (N.Y.) – 9-1 – Kiera McNally scored five times Paige Bonomi had four goals and three assists in a 20-11 win over West Islip (N.Y.).

6. Wantagh (N.Y.) – 12-2 – Colleen Lovett had five goals and three assists and April Iannetta had three goals and four assists in a 15-11 win at Mount Sinai.

7. Fox Lane (N.Y.) – 14-0 – Lexi Cannon scored five goals in a 19-4 victory against Harrison (N.Y.).

8. Westwood (Mass.) – 10-0 – Laura McHoul had six goals and Sarah Biron scored four times in a 20-5 win against Medway (Mass.).

9. Londonderry (N.H.) – 9-0 – Alexa Bedell had three goals in a 10-8 win against Concord (N.H.).

10. Wilton (Conn.) – 12-1– The Warriors picked up a 17-7 win over Staples in a matchup of teams that entered the game with undefeated records.

Game of the Week

Staples (Conn.) at Ridgefield (Conn.), Thursday, May 12, 6 p.m.
Staples (11-1) is coming off its first loss of the season – to conference rival Wilton (Conn.) – and will be looking to get back on track against a Ridgefield team enjoying a solid season. Ridgefield (8-3), which jumped out to a 6-0 start, has been led by Caroline Ogden's scoring. Staples is led by Elizabeth Driscoll, Nikki Seo and goalie Penny Tsilfides.

News and Notes

Londonberry (N.H.) got a scare from previously unbeaten Concord before pulling out a 10-8 victory that extended the Lancers' win streak to 46 games. Londonderry, which trailed 5-2 at the half, rallied in the second half, aided by some big stops from goaltender Crystalle Paren ...West Genesee (N.Y.) has three players who have already surpassed the 60-point mark this season: Emily Tripodi (84), Katey Hart (67) and Erica Geremia (61)... Alexandra Bruno had three goals and four assists as the Garden City (N.Y.) won a key showdown against Northport (N.Y.) 17-7... Maddie Kratz wound up with 18 saves and Megan Boepple had six goals for Wilton (Conn.) in its 17-7 win against Staples (Conn.).
