from press release
Josh Sanderson, Aaron Bold, Andrew Suitor and Jordan MacIntosh have won the weekly player awards for Week 4 of the National Lacrosse League season.
Toronto Rock forward Josh Sanderson was selected as Offensive Player of the Week after posting consecutive hat tricks to help Toronto to its first two victories of the season last Friday at home against Rochester and Saturday in Calgary. Sanderson also totaled eight assists and six loose balls in the victories, as the Rock erased an 0-2 start to even their record at 2-2 heading into Philadelphia this weekend.
Edmonton Rush goaltender Aaron Bold picked up Defensive Player of the Week honors after stopping 43 of 48 shots last Saturday in Edmonton's 16-5 rout of Washington. The Rush evened their record at 1-1 and face Colorado on Saturday.
A pair of Minnesota Swarm players rounded out the weekly winners. Andrew Suitor won Transition Player of the Week, and fellow transition player Jordan MacIntosh won his first Rookie of the Week Award.
Suitor was named Transition Player of the Week after recording three goals, collecting three loose balls and one forced turnover in a 19-11 win over Buffalo last Saturday.
MacIntosh earned the Rookie of the Week award after he scooped up 19 loose balls, won 17 of 29 faceoffs and chipped in with a goal and three assists in the victory over the Bandits.
The weekly player award winners are selected by a vote of the league's general managers and head coaches.
